ICMSA 2026

The International Conference on Mathematics, Statistics and Their Applications (ICMSA 2026) will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in December 2026. This international conference is initiated by the IMT-GT (Indonesia–Malaysia–Thailand Growth Triangle) Consortium with the aim of strengthening regional and global collaboration in mathematics and statistics, and promoting their impactful applications in science, technology, and society.

ICMSA 2026 provides a vibrant platform for scientists, mathematicians, statisticians, and academicians from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and around the world to exchange ideas, share recent advances, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Through plenary lectures, invited talks, and academic discussions, the conference encourages the dissemination of both theoretical developments and real-world applications of mathematical and statistical sciences.

Conference Theme

“Mathematics and Statistics in the AI and Data Science Era”

In the era of artificial intelligence and intelligent data-driven systems, mathematics and statistics form the foundational backbone of modern AI technologies. Core concepts such as optimization, probability, statistical inference, numerical analysis, and mathematical modeling play a crucial role in machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and predictive intelligence. ICMSA 2026 aims to highlight how rigorous mathematical and statistical frameworks enable reliable, explainable, and efficient AI systems.

The conference warmly invites researchers and practitioners to present their latest findings, explore emerging challenges, and discuss innovative applications of mathematics and statistics in artificial intelligence, data science, and related fields. By bridging theory and practice, ICMSA 2026 aspires to contribute to the sustainable advancement of AI technologies and to strengthen the scientific ecosystem within the IMT-GT region and beyond.

The objective of the conference is to provide a forum for mathematics researchers from Asia and other continents to foster links and collaboration among themselves and with mathematicians from other parts of the world through discussion, exchange of ideas, and presentation of research findings.

"We hope everyone will have a great time enjoying mathematics and the beautiful surroundings at ICMSA 2026."
