The 6th International Conference on ICT Application Research (IAR-6)

IAR-6 will be held jointly with the 14th IASC-ARS & SoAI 2026 Joint Conference at Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand, from 9 to 11 December 2026.

IAR is organized by the International ICT Application Research Society (IIARS), a Japan-based academic society founded on 18 September 2016 to advance research on the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT serves as a bridge connecting people, products and information, and new ideas, technologies and applications continue to emerge at an accelerating pace.

A distinctive feature of IIARS is the breadth of the fields it covers. Its members study not only ICT itself, but every discipline in which ICT is applied — from science and engineering to the humanities and the social sciences. To date, IIARS has held ten annual conferences and more than eighteen workshops, and has published its journals continuously since its founding.

Joint Conference Partnership

The IIARS Board has resolved to hold IAR-6 in partnership with IASC-ARS and SoAI. Statistical computing, algorithmic intelligence and applied ICT research share a common foundation.

This joint format offers participants of all three communities a rare opportunity to exchange ideas across disciplinary and regional boundaries.

Call for Papers

IAR welcomes researchers, industry professionals and academics who apply ICT in their work. The conference addresses challenges in ICT application research and in all categories of research that make use of ICT, and comprises plenary sessions, technical paper sessions, and invited industrial and special sessions.

Submissions are invited in all areas of ICT research, including research papers, experience papers, research-in-progress reports, and practitioner reports. We solicit contributions in any of the technical areas listed under Scope & Topics. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the topics below.
